Insulation Moisture and construction knots

This handbook describes simple insulation solutions for renovation, new construction, timber frame construction or industrial construction,  taking into account the building physical properties, moisture production and moisture transport through the building.

When insulation or re-insulation homes, you have to take into account a number of building physics phenomena, otherwise you will be dissapointed or you will suffer considerable consequential damage. If you know that cerain insulation materials are sensitive to moisture and that moisture strongly influences the lambda value, we must take this into account. The method of installation and the choice of insulation material also play a decisive role in the minimum requirements to be met in terms of insulation value and energy performance.
